‘Shattered Pixel Dungeon’ revisits the roots of the gaming world in a classic dungeon crawler RPG. Players must pick from one of four different heroes when they start the game. The four hero classes are Mage, Warrior, Rogue, and Huntress.

Each hero has unique abilities and will be suited to a specific playstyle. There are 8 subclasses that will allow players to specialize their heroes to suit their unique playstyle even better. The game features skill points, known as Talents, which players can use to build up their hero’s skills and make them more powerful as they crawl through the dark pixel art dungeons of the game.

There are 5 different dungeon regions with unique terrain. Each of the 5 regions has 26 floors for players to fight their way through, killing enemies, searching for treasure, and picking up skill points as they go along.

Dungeon layouts and enemy positions and fortifications are completely randomized, ensuring that players will have a completely new experience every time that they run a dungeon, even if they repeat the same dungeon multiple times.

‘Shattered Pixel Dungeon’ features a wide range of different enemy types and classes, equipment, weapons, and usable items. The incredible variety in enemy types, weapons, and items, allows players to experiment with different strategies for different situations. 

Effective strategizing and smart use of weapon and skill combinations in conjunction with consumables is key to achieving victory and successfully escaping from the dungeons.

‘Shattered Pixel Dungeon’ is developed by ‘Shattered Pixel’ and was released on Steam on 23 March 2022.
