Assassin's Creed Infinity Release Date and Exciting Things About It

Assassin's Creed Infinity Release Date and Exciting Things About It
The Game Without End

When it comes to Assassin’s Creed, creativity never ends. Once again the game will evolve into something new. This time game will be released as a so-called live service game. That means that publishers will release only 1 more game and constantly develop the game over time.  The most popular games these days are live service games, like Apex Legends, League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and so on. Unlike these games, AC: Infinity won’t be free to play. Judging by the last three parts in the franchise, players can expect the price anywhere between 60$ and 100$.

Gameplay

The game will continue in an open-world RPG direction since AC: Valhalla is the best-selling game in the franchise. Ubisoft revealed that the reason for switching to live service games is that they can introduce multiple timelines without constantly making a new game. Speaking of evolution, AC Infinity is announced to be a multiplayer game. It won’t be a standalone game anymore, so you will need internet even to play solo mode.  Live service will allow players to experience new content, while your upgraded character won’t change. That’s a good idea since the last parts of the game are so huge that looting and gaining experience can become very exhausting. New map and missions, without having to grind from the beginning.

The last 3 parts in the franchise came out as  RPG games, so we can expect AC: Infinity to be the same. Big chances are that this game will be released as a multipayer game.

Story

New content will be released every few months, and every season players can expect a new map. The game story will also change through the seasons and will follow multiple different timelines. You will be able to experience a new era and explore new cultures endlessly. Since the game is still in its early stages, it’s not known where the story will start. Italian Renaissance, American Revolution, and Ancient Egypt are just some of the eras we went through, but which one will be next? For now, we can just guess. Judging by the last few parts in the franchise, it’s gonna be an amazing experience. Assassin’s Creed Infinity will grow and expand as long as developers can find new stories and worlds.

The story and timeline of the game are still not known. There is a big number of options for the next story, but which one will be first? With such a big choice it’s hard to guess.

Release Date

Ubisoft first announced the game in July 2021. The game still doesn’t have an official release date but is expected to be out in 2024. Because of the COVID pandemic, the game may be delayed even more. This will be a collaborative project between their Montreal and Quebec studios, on the head with 2 creative directors:

  • Clint Hocking, a game developer, and designer, started his career at Ubisoft. He is known for directing Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell games, Far Cry 2, and Watch Dogs: Legion.
  • Jonathan Dumont is a writer and director, best known for his work on Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Immortals Fenyx Rising: A New God

Considering that two main creative directors are working on this game, we shouldn’t expect any new games before Infinity comes out. Further updates about the game are expected in late 2022. Since the game is coming out in a minimum of 3 years from now, the official game trailer still doesn’t exist. There is always a chance that Ubisoft releases a short teaser, but the trailer shouldn’t be expected until 2023.

The game is still in its early stages, and shouldn’t be expected until 2024. It’s not known much about the game, except it’s becoming a live service. We should expect more information from Ubisoft soon.

Conclusion

Like always, Ubisoft is full of surprises. Assassin’s Creed once again is changing. Unfortunately, it won’t be free-to-play like other live service games, which depend on microtransactions. Judging by all of the games in the franchise, it’s going to be worth the money spent. Unlike previous parts, where the player is going through one set of historical timelines, you will now be able to go through multiple timelines and stories. Being a live service game, you won’t have to purchase any new games, except expansions. The game won’t come out in the near future, but patience will pay off.

Ubisoft is preparing something big. The game is once again changing and it’s expected to be like nothing before. Fans are impatiently waiting for updates about the game.
