[Top 5] Cyberpunk 2077 Best Swords That Wreck Hard

V Wielding Errata, The Iconic Sword

In Cyberpunk 2077 blades are a major contender for most fun weapons to use in the entire game. From hack and slash Sandevistan users to stealth master cyber assassins, the swords in Cyberpunk 2077 will surely keep you entertained for hours. Here are some of the best swords in the game as of January 2024!

5. Satori

Satori used to be the best sword in Cyberpunk 2077 hands down. In fact it wasn’t even a competition, if you didn’t have Satori then your Samurai build felt incomplete. It has, sadly, been nerfed. The way Satori is now is great, but you need Satori’s other half, Nehan, for it to be at the top of its game. If Satori is sheathed and you hold the attack button you’ll quickdraw Satori and inflict bleeding on your target. If your target has been hit by Nehan, then it’ll heal you for the damage the bleeding would have done instead. Satori is found at the top of Konpeki Plaza in The Heist mission.

Stats:

  • 2.1 Attack Speed
  • 106 Damage, 25% Armor Penetration, 30% Bleeding Chance.
  • 6.4 Stamina Cost

Excels at:

  • Stealth playstyle. Combined with the perk Gag Order you can quickly kill a target before they sound the alarm.
  • Open combat against a large group. When paired with Nehan you will quickly gain more health than you can imagine and you’ll be near unkillable if you switch back and forth.
  • Hack and slash. Turn on a Sandevistan and you’ll never have to worry about your troubles again. This goes for all weapons, but especially swords.

4. Tsumetogi

The Tsumetogi is an amazing option for a sword only playthrough of Cyberpunk. You get it off of a Tyger Claw boss at the end of the mission Pisces. This sword does more damage if you use nonstandard attacks, such as parrying. The reason Tsumetogi is really on this list, though, is the 25% shock chance that will absolutely destroy enemies of any type. It’s even good against robots!

Stats:

  • 2.1 Attack Speed
  • 129 Damage, 25% Armor Penetration, 25% Shock Chance
  • 6.4 Stamina Cost

Excels at:

  • Fighting against machines. 25% shock chance will do extra damage to robots.
  • Hack and Slash Sandevistan playstyle is always good, this weapon is even better due to the extra shock damage. You’ll blast through even MaxTac.
  • Defeating large groups. Stealth or otherwise, paired with Gag Order you’ll clear out camps with no issues.

3. Byakko

If you like swinging a sword around like a maniac at speeds faster than you can keep up with, this is the sword for you. You can also leap towards targets by holding the attack button. The only issue is to gain the speed boost, the sword needs a sacrifice. After killing an enemy, you gain a really fast combo of attacks! Byakko is found in Vs stash after completing the side job Professional Widow.

Stats:

  • 2.1 Attack Speed
  • 117 Damage, 25% Armor Penetration, 30% Bleeding Chance
  • 6.4 Stamina Cost

Excels at:

  • Killing large groups of enemies. Using the leap attack, kill an enemy, then leap to the next and use the rapid combo, then leap again and keep the flow going as long as possible!
  • Hack and slash playstyles. That Sandevistan will appear in all of these. If you’re using a melee weapon without a Sandy, what are you doing?!
  • Stealth based gameplay. Gag Order with swords that do high damage = Major success.

2. Errata

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you like dismemberment if you use swords. Well, let me introduce you to Errata. Not only does she dismember like any other sword, she also sets people on fire! Oh, and enemies on fire will always be hit with crits if you’re using Errata. This sword is a beast. It even has a leaping attack, just in case your targets are running a little too fast. And trust me, when they see this sword they will be running.

Stats:

  • 2.1 Attack Speed
  • 119 Damage, 25% Armor Penetration. 30% Burn Chance
  • 6.4 Stamina Cost

Excels at:

  • You guessed it, Hack and Slash Sandevistan.
  • Taking down human targets, flame is like bleed, it only affects humans.
  • Large groups due to the leap attack.

1. Scalpel

This unsuspecting sword is a master of disguise. When you see the Scalpel, you see a sword with a blue handle. When I see it, I see a weapon of mass destruction. But guess what? To access the full potential of this sword you need a Sandevistan. And this time it’s not just me saying it! The sword’s special ability adds an additional 50% crit damage when using a Sandy. And the Sandy already gives you a decent percentage boost depending on your level so there’s a solid chance this will bump it up to over a 100% critical chance per hit! It also has a 30% shock chance so its best target is anyone and anything!

Stats:

  • 2.1 Attack Speed
  • 133 Damage, 25% Armor Penetration, 30% Shock Chance
  • 6.4 Stamina Cost

Excels at:

  • Taking down Robots. Flick that Sandevistan on and let that shock chance guide your hand.
  • Taking down large groups of enemies. Turn on the Sandevistan and crit hit everyone!
  • Taking down bosses. 100% critical chance is just too good to pass up. You’ll destroy everything.

A good option if you don’t want to use swords but you want to use a blade is the Mantis Blades. At a high level they do some pretty impressive damage and you can have them do whatever elemental damage you want!
