Destiny 2: Beyond Light introduced the Stasis damage type, which uses the power of Darkness to temporarily stop and freeze enemies, providing unprecedented crowd control. While Stasis weapons cannot freeze or shatter opponents by default, they can be equipped with Stasis-exclusive perks that do.

Stasis weapons in Destiny 2 are unique in that they are mostly found in the Kinetic slot, with a few exceptions in the Heavy slot. However, optimizing builds around these weapons, particularly in PvE situations, can be difficult due to continual balance changes to Stasis.

What are the best Stasis Weapons in Destiny 2?

With so many Stasis weapons available in the current season of the wish, deciding which ones are best can be difficult. However, few exceptional weapons in the current meta are known for their great effectiveness and performance with various builds in Destiny 2.

10. Qullim's Terminus

"Her guidance would have saved us…"

Despite the uneven situation of machine guns, Quillim's Terminus shines particularly in Stasis-oriented setups. This weapon can be obtained from the revived King's Fall raid in Season of the Plunder, which is both craftable and farmable. Players can also get its Harrowed version by completing the raid on the Master difficulty level.

While its base numbers are good enough, its slow reload speed is a significant downside. However, the original perk, Runneth Over, compensates by renewing the magazine, which depends on other Guardians' proximity. Furthermore, you can improve the weapon's performance via adept modes once you've acquired the Harrowed version.

How to get Qullim's Terminus 

You can acquire Qullim's Terminus by completing any King's Fall raid encounter. For the adept version, you must complete the same encounters on master difficulty. Once you have unlocked this gun in collections, you can also buy it from the last chest of the raid after defeating Oryx. 

9. Cold Comfort

"Do not be afraid."

Cold Comfort is a powerful Rocket Launcher and undoubtedly Destiny 2's best Stasis option in this category. It can be obtained from the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon and comes with an Aggressive Frame as well as the amazing Restorative Light perk. This perk ensures automatic reloading when the magazine is empty, which may be activated by restoring an ally or performing a finisher before depletion. Unfortunately, you can't craft this weapon, so the only way to get the perfect roll you want is by repeatedly trying to get it.

How to get Cold Comfort

Cold Comfort is a weapon you can find in the Ghost of the Deep Dungeon loot pool. To obtain this rocket launcher, you must complete any encounter within the Dungeon, including the final boss battle. If you're looking to farm for it, the most efficient method is to complete the first encounter. This encounter is relatively quick and straightforward, and it has a smaller loot pool, which means you have better odds of obtaining the rocket launcher.

8. Eyasluna

One day, young hawk, thou shalt sail beneath the silvered moon.

Eyasluna, like many of the weapons in the Grasp of Avarice collection, is a reworked version of a popular Destiny classic. While it shares the same model and name as its predecessor, it has undergone significant changes. Eyasluna is now a Stasis weapon best suited for PvE activities, as opposed to its PvP reputation in Destiny.

You can grab Eyaslunaby by completing encounters of the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. The loot pool of the first encounter is also small, increasing this weapon's drop chances.

7. Disparity

"Identify yourself, or be destroyed." —Clovis Bray I

Disparity, a new Stasis pulse weapon, has been the talk of the community since the Season of the Seraph. It feels fantastic in PVP and offers some PVE options for those not enjoying the Crucible.

The frame of disparity allows it to fire four bursts. Its versatility originates from these unique perk pairings, which allow Guardians to successfully modify its perks to different play styles. What defines Disparity is its craftability, which allows Guardians to modify its perks with improvements, thus increasing its adaptability and efficiency in both PvP and PvE scenarios.

6. Deliverance

5. Lingering Dread

We are all burdened by the chains of our past.

Lingering Dread, a lightweight-frame special Grenade Launcher, is acquired from the Duality Dungeon introduced in the Season of the Haunted. Its standout feature lies in the diverse array of available perks, offering significant versatility in gameplay.

4. Ager's Scepter

Ager's Scepter is an exotic Trace Rifle introduced through a quest in Season of the Lost that may now be obtained from the Monument to Lost Lights in Tower. It is widely recognized as one of Destiny 2's best Trace Rifles, with excellent crowd control and damage output. Its exotic perk, Ager's Call, is especially striking. It gives the weapon's final attacks a gradual burst effect, which improves its crowd control abilities.

The Exotic Catalyst elevates Ager's Scepter to a new level, making it a genuine powerhouse. The "Will Given Form" perk increases the weapon's damage by 80%, allows for magazine overflow, and allows the Stasis beam to cause enemies to slow down.

2. Conditional Finality

The Roots of Nightmare Raid Exotic, Conditional Finality, is a strong option for both Stasis and Solar players in Destiny 2. This double-barreled shotgun fires Stasis and Solar pellets alternately with each shot. Landing Stasis pellets largely freeze targets, whereas mostly Solar pellets cause an Ignition effect.

This weapon is widely sought after in both PvP and PvE encounters because of its remarkable stats, which include impressive handling and range. Mastery of its exotic perk can make you practically unbeatable in PvP conflicts.

1. Cryosthesia 77K

There are things colder than cold.

The Cryosthesia 77K is a fantastic stasis-driven sidearm that allows Guardians to easily freeze enemies. Its unique feature allows for a charged shot after a kill, releasing a bolt of stasis that freezes the target, but at the expense of all ammo in the magazine.

While categorized as a Kinetic weapon, Cryosthesia has the rare Stasis element, which adds an interesting twist to its usefulness in Destiny 2. Cryosthesia emerges as an effective weapon in PvP, especially in the hands of experienced players. Combining it with a high-damage Special weapon, such as a Grenade Launcher or Shotgun, results in a devastating synergy.

Exotic Perk:

Swap firing mode after a final blow to enable a charged shot. Direct hits by a charged shot instantly freeze the target. Indirect hits freeze combatants and slow opposing Guardians.
