You must have heard about the phrase “Key to Success” many times in your school, but if you are a FarmVille 2 player, you know that there is no key to success, but ‘key’ is the success! In this article, I will tell you top five best uses of your FarmVille 2 keys to keep your game up.

Keys are like currency coins in the world of FarmVille 2, which can be earned through achievements, daily hope chest, sales bonus, trading ribbons, spinning the wheel, and when you finish various quests. Zynga gives an option of buying them with real money too.

Earning keys in FarmVille 2 is hard, but spending keys is also a skill that many players don’t have. Follow this article to get ideas about where to spend your keys to make the best use of your time and money.

1. Buy a Sheep

Buying an animal in FarmVille 2 is not an option with coins; you must have at least 50 keys to buy a spouse for your first animal.

I don’t recommend buying any other animal than sheep, because my secret to success in the game has been wool. Yes, you have heard it right! Buying a second sheep using 50 keys worked as a game changer for me when I started crafting blankets and entered Merryweather's mine.

I bought 3 more sheep today with 150 keys, and now I guess I am producing enough for blankets, jackets, and caps for the Christmas season.

2. Invest in Your Barn Space

When I was in the early stages of my game, one of the best decisions I made was to use keys to increase my barn space, which worked as inventory space for my products.

I can proudly brag that I had 80+ spaces when I was in level 15, and my inventory was full of many supplies that would have gone waste otherwise.

3. Buy Farm Plots

If you have completed the first 15 levels of FarmVille 2, you would know that you cannot buy more than two farm plots with your coins. No matter how rich you are, you need keys to buy farm plots.

A pro tip here is that if you buy a farm plot with crops having a longer maturity period, you can save keys. My third farm plot had a strawberry crop, and I got it for 5 keys only.

4. Get more Workshops

I completed 18 levels and earned more than fifteen million coins within ten days after getting 3 new workshops. If you have some good business skills, you can use workshops to make finished products with raw materials that you produce, for example, wool.

Getting even one additional workshop for each of the finished products you are producing will boost your game level and coins.

If you don’t have any raw materials on your farm, consider buying raw materials at a low price and selling finished products with a good profit margin.

5. Speed Up

Now if you are too impatient to see your farm grow, use your keys to speed up the process. I almost never do that unless it is Eagle Eye Eddie quests (which are my favorite) but the speed-up option is available to reduce building timers and increase the speed of farmhand searches as well.
