Yuffie is a character that appears in the Intergrade DLC. Her origin is from Wutai, a nation that was destroyed by the Shinra company. In the DLC, she pairs up with Sonon to uncover the secrets of Shinra. She is a ninja, and her weapon of choice is a shuriken. She is mainly a ranged character, but she can also be deadly in close quarters if needed. 

Yuffie is highly interested in materia, and she seeks to collect as many as possible while also trying to restore her nation to what it once was. Her stats are extremely balanced, allowing her to be versatile when it comes to builds, which allows her to play any role in the game. Even though her HP pool is very little she can dodge deadly abilities with ease and is very mobile.

3. Magic Build

Yuffie is a versatile character, as I stated, so you can build her around magic. As you might have expected, this build will focus on improving her overall magic. By doing that, Yuffie will be able to quickly attack enemy weaknesses and exploit them. Her MP pool isn't anything major, but it's decent and allows her to cast a few handfuls of spells before running out. 

Because of that, you'll want to equip “MP Up” materia. Now, for the weapon, you'll want to go with the “Boomerang,” which gives her 97 magic attack when maxed out. It also gives 70 physical damage, which is decent and can be good if you run out of mana. For the accessory, you'll want to go with the “Ribbon,” as it makes it harder for Yuffie to be interrupted while casting spells. 

The capability of this build is being able to cast spells from a safe distance without being interrupted and improving on her MP pool. The build is also capable of supporting Sonon, who is on the frontline tanking damage. 

What Magic Build Excels In:

• Being able to support Sonon.
• Casting spells from a safe distance.
• Not being interrupted while casting spells.
• Improving on Yuffie's mana pool.
• Giving her some decent physical attack damage for when Yuffie runs out of mana.

• Accessory: Ribbon - Prevents detrimental status effects. Makes it harder to be interrupted while casting magic.
• Spells: Cura, Raise, Fire, Blizzard, Thunder.
• Materia for Boomerang: Cura, Raise, Fire, Magnify, Blizzard, Magic Up.
• Materia for Chthonian Armlet: Ramuh, MP Up, MP Up, Thunder.
• Summon: Ramuh

2. Physical Damage Build

If you don’t like going a magic build, maybe a full physical build will be more to your liking. With this build, you’ll be able to get close to the enemy and kick their ass. As well, you’ll be able to do some sick synchronized combos with Sonon. As for the weapon, you’ll go with the “Steel Reaper,” which has 94 physical damage when maxed out and gives you 70 magic damage as well. 

Additionally, the weapon comes with an ability called “Banishment,” which gets stronger the more ATB abilities you use. As for the armor, go for the “Firebird Armlet,” as it gives Yuffie 46 physical and 46 magical defenses. It will improve her survivability and make sure that she doesn’t die in one or two hits. 

The accessory that suits this build the most is the “Kindred Cord,” as it reduces the ATB cost of synergized abilities. The capability of this build is being able to quickly switch between ranged and melee combat with Yuffie. Allowing her to deal damage in both situations. It also makes casting and relying on synergized combos and abilities with Sonon much more prominent, as it reduces the ATB cost. 

Physical Damage Build Excels In:

• Dealing damage in melee and ranged forms.
• Being able to quickly switch between melee and ranged.
• Reducing the ATB cost of synergized attacks.
• Improving on Yuffie’s survivability.
• Insanely improving her physical attack damage stat.

• Accessory: Kindred Cord - reduces ATB cost of synergized abilities.
• Spells: Cura, Fire.
• Materia for Steel Reaper: HP Absorption, Fire, Deadly Dodge, Parry, First Strike, Cure.
• Materia for Firebird Armlet: HP Up, HP Up, Ramuh.
• Summon: Ramuh

The best build for Yuffie that you can go with is the one that improves her magic damage and physical attack damage, as she excels in both. This build also expands on her survivability, as she can be very squishy in battle and die easily. 

For the weapon, you'll want to go with the 4-point Shuriken, which gives her 72 physical and magic attack damage. It also gives her 500HP in total. As for the armor, go for the “Chthonian Armlet,” as it gives 42 physical and magical defenses. For the accessory, you'll want to equip the “Gozu Drive,” as it increases Yuffie’s damage proportional to the amount of HP she has.

The “Gozu Drive” has a special effect when combined with the “Chthonian Armlet.” The capability of this build is being able to deal decent physical and magical damage, as well as being able to survive longer in fights. Furthermore, it’s great for when you need to exploit an enemy’s weaknesses and also do great combos with Sonon.

• Materia for 4 Point Shuriken: First Strike, Fire/Thunder/Blizzard, Magnify, Deadly Dodge, Parry, ATB Stagger. 
• Materia for Chthonian Armlet: HP Up, HP Up, MP Up, Ramuh.
• Summon: Ramuh
