2-Coffee

The Coffee Bean is a seed that can be planted and grown in both Spring and Summer. This means it is a multi-season crop and also multi-harvest, as it continues to produce crops after reaching maturity. On its own, this crop doesn’t do much. It is not consumable and doesn’t sell for much. But using it with kegs is more profitable to turn it into Coffee, no matter the quality of the Coffee Bean. Each Coffee plant yields four beans per harvest with a small chance for more.

Coffee beans are generally regarded as seeds rather than as fruits or vegetables, therefore the Tiller profession has no positive effects on the price of coffee beans. Additionally, it cannot be put inside a Preserves Jar. However, you can make coffee by putting 5 coffee beans inside a keg. Coffee is not regarded as an artisan good, compared to all other Keg goods. Since it cannot be sold to the General Store and does not benefit from the Artisan profession, it must be sold through the Shipping Bin.

This crop can only be purchased during the Egg Festival on Spring 13, so a good strategy is for players to make as much money as they can to be able to purchase as many packets of Strawberry Seeds. Then keep some to use with the Seed Maker so that there are some available when Spring comes around. Then they can be planted on the first day of Spring, and players can get more harvests in the season. 

A tip for planting on the day of the Egg Festival is to prepare the land before the festival starts by tilling the ground, adding any available fertilizer, and watering the area.
